The Faculty of Chemical Technology was established in 1968. Its staff are 31 senior researchers (professors and doctors habilitated, including two members-correspondents of Polish Academy of Sciences and 14 full professors). This group is supported by 71 doctors and 35 other employees.

Studies of the I and II cycles are available in three  fields: chemical technology, chemical and process engineering and environmental protection.  The process of education is maintained at a high standard, the developed curricula are ambitious and allow graduates to find good employment. Studies of the second cycle in the field of chemical technology (in the area of composites and nanomaterials) are also available in the English language.

The Faculty has the right to confer doctoral degrees in the fields of: chemical sciences / chemistry, science, chemistry / chemical technology, engineering sciences / chemical technology and the right to award the doctor habilitated degree in the field of chemical sciences / chemical technology.

Scientific research is conducted at the Faculty at a very high professional level, as evidenced by publications in journals of high international significance. A good standard of international cooperation is kept, implemented through funds obtained in the relevant research programmes.

Starting from 2014, the Faculty is based in the modern building of Educational Centre of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, which allows for the concentration of all personnel in the Warta Campus, enabling them to focus on the performance of their tasks.
